BMW Group Malaysia has launched the facelifted iX SUV, featuring new xDrive60 M Sport Pro & xDrive45 Sport variants.

It has been more than three years since BMW Group Malaysia introduced the iX into our market, and the automaker has just unveiled the facelifted version (LCI) of the EV SUV today. Featuring two new variants, the updated iX retails from RM425,800 (RM460,700 with BSRI) for the xDrive45 Sport variant and RM487,800 (RM522,700 with BSRI) for the range-topping xDrive60 M Sport Pro.

Both fully imported (CBU), the new 2025 iX models come standard with the 2-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and an 8-year or 160,000 km high-voltage battery warranty. Alternatively, they can opt for the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive (BSRI) package that adds a 5-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty, plus a 6-year unlimited mileage of service coverage.

2025 BMW iX xDrive45 Sport

For the facelift version, the new iX features two new variants for our market, with the entry-level guise now being represented by the iX xDrive45 Sport. It features a peppier dual-motor AWD setup that now boasts a combined output of 402 HP (300 kW) and 700 NM, enabling a quicker 0-100 km/h time of 5.1 seconds and a capped V-max of 200 km/h.

With a gross battery capacity of 100.6-kWh, the iX xDrive45 Sport is good for up to 602 km of WLTP range, BMW claims. Its DCFC rate has also increased to 175 kW for the updated model, while AC 22 kW is also available.

2025 BMW iX xDrive60 M Sport Pro

Meanwhile, the new iX xDrive60 M Sport Pro takes the range-topping spot for new, featuring an improved dual-motor AWD setup that churns out 536 HP (400 kW) and 765 NM for a quicker century sprint time of 4.6 seconds, although its V-max is still electronically capped at 200 km/h.

To compensate for the peppier motors, the iX xDrive60 M Sport Pro gets a larger battery pack with 111.5-kWh gross capacity for up to 701 km of WLTP range, says BMW. It also gets a faster DCFC rate of 195 kW, plus the same 22 kW AC charger as the baseline variant.

In terms of design, the facelifted iX gets some minor nip-tuck to make it somewhat distinguishable from the pre-updated version. Key design highlights include redesigned LED headlights with bi-LED DRL signatures, new kidney grille design with BMW Iconic Glow lights, as well as revised reverse lights and rear fog lamps combination.

Opting for the xDrive60 M Sport Pro variant will grant you some extra M Sport-specific bits like a new front and rear bumper design courtesy of the M Aerodynamics package, smoked tint for the lights, and new 22-inch diamond-polished M wheels in 1025 Multicolour with red Sport brakes hiding beneath them.

Although it doesn’t come standard with the M Sport package, the baseline iX xDrive45 Sport still gets some sporty design bits, including the standard 21-inch aerodynamic wheels in 1012 Bicolour, a slew of body-coloured accents, and many more.

Despite being the entry-level variant, the iX xDrive45 Sport still gets pretty decent cabin amenities, including ambient lights, the Sky Lounge panoramic glass roof, a Harman Kardon surround sound system, multifunctional sport front seats wrapped in Sensafin upholstery with three colour options (Atelier Oyster, Atelier Mocha and Atelier Black), USB-C ports, wireless charger, and four-zone climate control.
