The new 2025 Mercedes-Benz C200 AMG Line sees MBM reboot the baseline W206 C-Class variant with a sporty new twist.

Apart from the new C236-gen Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4Matic+ Coupe and C118-gen Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4Matic+ Coupe Final Edition, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) also sprang a surprise by introducing a third new offering alongside both high-performance specials earlier today.

Debuting today too was the new 2025 Mercedes-Benz C200 AMG Line. Essentially, the firm has given its signature fifth-gen (W206) compact executive saloon, which is also locally built (CKD), a sporty reboot – it was previously offered in Avantgarde Line guise.

With the exterior, the AMG Line treatment brings a sporty new front and rear bumper plus side skirts set, as well as new 19-inch wheels.

The changes are purely aesthetic, and it’s mostly evident with the exterior – typical of the AMG Line treatment. In this sporty guise, the C200 gains a sporty new front and rear bumper matched with a sporty side skirts set plus sporty new 19-inch multi-spoke AMG wheels.

Additionally, the AMG Line treatment also sees the C200 gain beefed up braking hardware. Specifically, there’s now larger new perforated front brake rotors matched with updated calipers that bear the Mercedes-Benz badge.

Another upgrade comes in the form of a newly added 360-degree parking camera that comes under the Parking Package. Also new here is the USB Package Plus that brings six USB-C ports plus two 12-volt sockets primed in the cabin.

Mechanically, there's no changes under the hood to note - you'll still find a 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol MHEV heart powering this baseline C-Class.

These aesthetic and light equipment upgrade aside, there are no mechanical changes to report. In other words, this rebooted Pekan-built entry-level C-Class variant continues to feature the marque’s current-gen 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol mild-hybrid (MHEV) heart.

Said mill puts out 204 hp and 300 Nm to the rear wheels (RWD) via a 9-speed automatic transmission. Said package also continues to see 0-100 km/h sprints despatched in just 7.3 secs whilst enroute towards a claimed V-max of 246 km/h.
