Newcastle United legend Laurent Robert believes the club will go to another level this season.
Manager Eddie Howe led the Magpies to the top four and Champions League football.
Now they will compete against the best teams in Europe, with Robert hoping that will elevate their status even further.
"It has been a long time, 20 years ago. I am very happy, the team is good under the new chairman," Robert told Sky Sports News
"Before me you had David Ginola and many French players - Didier Domi, Alain Goma, Olivier Bernard - it was a good moment in Newcastle to play in the Champions League and the Europa League.
"I played with great players. Alan Shearer, Gary Speed, Rob Lee, many, many players and at this moment Newcastle are very good and I hope they can play every year in the Champions League."
