Following the news that President Joe Biden has dropped out of the presidential race and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic nomination, DC lawmakers shared their reactions with The Independent.
“She is the new generation,” Nevada representative Steven Horsford said.
Republican Mark Green from Tennessee disagreed. “I think Kamala Harris has a ton of weaknesses.”
“My grandma taught me if you stay ready, you’ll be ready,” Georgia representative Nikema Williams said. “Vice President Kamala Harris is ready to serve.”
