Kota Kinabalu: Lawyer Datuk Ram Singh has strongly refuted claims circulating on social media suggesting that his integrity has been compromised in connection with a case currently before the Child’s Court.
In a firm statement on Thursday, Ram described the allegations as entirely false, malicious, and calculated to tarnish his professional reputation.
“At all times, I have conducted myself in accordance with the highest ethical standards of the legal profession and the rules of professional conduct.
“As an officer of the court, my duty is to uphold justice without fear or favour, and he has discharged that duty conscientiously in the case,” he said.
He further clarified that he has never accepted, solicited, or been influenced by any inducement from political parties or affiliations, nor allowed any improper consideration to affect his judgment.
“I urge the public to disregard these baseless insinuations. Should these falsehoods persist, I will not hesitate to take all necessary legal steps to protect my name and professional standing,” he warned.
The statement comes after a photograph linked to him was widely shared online, accompanied by insinuations questioning his impartiality.
