KOTA KINABALU: Lawyer Shahlan Jufri, representing Zara Qairina Mahathir’s family, has denied claims linking him to politics in the “Justice for Zara” movement, calling them malicious and misleading.
He clarified that a photo of him with the Sabah Chief Minister and Domestic Trade Minister, taken in June 2025, was unrelated to Zara’s case.
Shahlan stressed his sole focus is on securing justice for Zara, highlighting milestones including the grave exhumation, full post-mortem, and the ongoing inquest.
He vowed to continue acting without fear or favour, undeterred by slander or pressure.
