Lazio president Claudio Lotito has again stated Luis Alberto will not be granted a free transfer.
The veteran attacker has declared he wants to leave this summer.
Lotito said: "Rescinding the contract is impossible.
He scored a goal yesterday, played well and showed how much he cares about Lazio, so perhaps what he said could've been misinterpreted."
On Ciro Immobile, he added: I have not opened any door, nor kicked anyone out of it, all these players have contracts. It is a two-way street with players, I cannot just nail them down and tell them they can't go anywhere.
Besides, there have been no offers, so why should I start panicking before anything has happened?"
