Kota Kinabalu: LDP Central Women Chief Glenna Wong urged the government to pursue a substantive solution to Sabah’s 40 per cent revenue entitlement issue, supporting remarks by GRS Women Chief Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun.

She said the matter should not be delayed on technical grounds and that negotiations must continue alongside the ongoing legal process.

“Within the existing framework, both the Federal and State governments must demonstrate greater political sincerity through continuous dialogue,” she said.

Wong said the issue involves justice and public trust, adding that delays could affect confidence and have implications for development and cost of living in Sabah.

She also rejected claims linking the diesel subsidy issue to politics and supported increasing Sabah’s parliamentary seats to better reflect current needs.
