KOTA KINABALU: Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) has called on the Sabah Government to ban Umno Youth Chief Datuk Muhamad Akmal Saleh from entering the State, citing concerns over actions and remarks that undermine Sabah’s dignity and national unity.

In a statement, LDP President Datuk Chin Su Phin said Sabah’s foundations of diversity and harmony must be protected from divisive politics, stressing that the state has the right to preserve its peace and dignity.

He commended the Prime Minister’s leadership in addressing the Zara Qairina Mahathir case and urged enforcement agencies to continue acting with transparency and professionalism, free from disinformation and political exploitation.

He stressed that Sabah would not allow its people’s grief or national symbols to be manipulated for political gain, adding that the LDP remains committed to defending Sabah’s autonomy, dignity, and Malaysia’s values of justice and unity.
