As the Chairman of MyAeroSatu & management educator, I increasingly believe with the strategist Jim Carroll, one of the advertising's finest thinkers that “The leaders of the future will be more like gardeners than generals. They will create the diversity, the energy & the space for growth to take place. They will prepare their people for all seasons & all weather, at first protecting them, but over time giving them the skills & the strength to stand on their own.”
Rather than describing a general in the field, commanding & controlling, Jim is describing a model of leadership where the leader creates the environment for growth. “They create the framework and the ingredients, but then also the space for individuals to grow as growth requires energy and diversity, but it also requires time. There'll be all types of weather; the leader will not always be able to protect the team, but will help them build the resilience needed.”

I know a CEO will want to grow revenues and profit, but they will also want to build the reputation of the business, the reach of the brand and customer loyalty. This brings us to the causal relationship between learning, training & growth that MyAeroSatu will like to share with students & new graduates.

Evidently, MyAeroSatu had successfully organized Student Dialogue - “Malaysian Strategic Imperative - Turning Potential Into Performance,” designed to support Malaysian Aerospace Industry Blueprint (MAIB) 2030. According to the experienced panelists at this dialogue, aerospace students and fresh graduates have diverse opportunities ranging from internships to entry-level engineering roles in aircraft manufacturing, MRO, logistics, advanced design.
What's next? Leaders of MyAeroSatu had assured the students & academes from various universities that for follow-up workshops could be held at their respective campus. Many of them are authors with expertise & experience in the project team that published the book “The Malaysia Airlines - We Built
