The environment in which children grow up plays a significant role in shaping their educational journey. The way a family or a household conducts itself is crucial in shaping the intelligence of its children, and undoubtedly, the parents' or household head's level of education impacts and shapes the quality of their discourse conversations with their children. There are exceptions, of course, for the quality of children's education excel from less educated parents. The environment means that schools, where children spend considerable time away from home, hold hope for increasing education levels for most family.

In theory, learning can be scaled up by many orders of magnitude in schools. It is both disruptive & scalable because teachers can disseminate information, ideas to much larger audiences than is possible in a family setting. Quality teaching can develop one of a student's most important tools: critical thinking. This is an asset that enhances one's ability to adapt to & remain competitive in changing environment, driven by exponential advancement in technology.

In a nutshell, the above were feedbacks to my article entitled “Education is one of the most powerful tools we can provide to children for their intellectual and emotional development” as published by newswav.com on 28 May 2026. (https://newswav.com/A2605_78SMxi?s=A_MxDGwCN&language=en)

As a management educator, I realized that knowledge is always embodied in a person; carried by a person; created, augmented, or improved by a person; applied by a person, taught & passed on by a person; used or misused by a person. The shift to knowledge society therefore, puts the person in the center.
