Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch could be a target for Southampton's head coaching position.

The Saints are in the process of evaluating Austrian coach Ralph Hasenhuttl's future.

A poor run of results since the tail end of last season has seen Southampton become likely relegation contenders.

Per The Times, Marsch and Nottingham Forest coach Steve Cooper are the two that Southampton would target should they sack Hasenhuttl in the coming weeks.

However, there is no indication that Marsch is prepared to walk out on Leeds, where he has built a solid side that is climbing up the table after last season's flirtation with relegation under Marcelo Bielsa.

In addition, Cooper has now signed a new contract with Nottingham Forest, which may rule him out of the Southampton job as well.
