Leeds defender Maxi Wober admits victory at Wolves came as a huge relief.
Three vital points eases the pressure around Elland Road ahead of the international break. Speaking to LUTV post-match, January arrival Wober urged his teammates to keep on" fighting for survival.
I think the whole city of Leeds is really relieved right now," the Austrian said. It was a tough fight. After the 3-0, everybody thought 'ok this is going to be secured now'. After (it went) 3-2, everybody was panicking inside but we got the three points and that is all that matters.
It is the first time we've scored three for a long time and had such a lead. Everything was going well, we defended well and then, you know how it is in football, once you breathe a little bit of air, they really put us under pressure. I am just so happy to get the three points.
We made it and we are happy about it - that's all I can say right now. It's crazy (relegation battle). We just looked at the table and we're 14th. It's so close. Every game can switch up everything. We know this was a big result for us but it's not over and we have to keep on fighting."
