
Leeds United refused to reference Manchester United when welcoming new assistant coach Chris Armas.
Armas has joined Leeds manager Jesse Marsch's backroom team after spending last season with United.
Leeds confirmed the appointment by announcing: "The 50-year-old former US international adds further experience to Jesse Marsch's staff.
"Armas had a successful career in Major League Soccer, with LA Galaxy and Chicago Fire, also playing at alongside Marsch.
"After his retirement, Armas was Marsch's assistant from 2015 to 2018 at the New York Red Bulls and then took his place.
"Armas also coached Toronto last season he was an assistant at another Premier League club, working with Ralf Rangnick."
