Lenovo has announced that it is now a Global Founding Partner for the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026, with its Legion gaming hardware powering the tournament’s competition and broadcast infrastructure.
The Esports World Cup 2026 will be held in Paris for the first time, taking place from 6 July to 23 August. The event is expected to feature over 2,000 players and 200 esports clubs from more than 100 countries competing across 24 game titles and 25 tournaments for a prize pool of more than USD75 million (~RM307.35 million).
As part of the partnership, players will compete using Lenovo Legion Tower 7i and Legion Tower 5i desktop PCs paired with Legion gaming monitors. Lenovo hardware will also be deployed across training facilities, broadcast studios and festival areas throughout the seven-week event.
On top of that, visitors to the event will get to try Lenovo’s Legion Pro Rollable Concept, a gaming laptop first shown at CES 2026. It features a 16-inch OLED display that can expand to either 21.5 inches or 24 inches, allowing users to switch between a more portable setup and a larger display.

The expanded partnership follows Lenovo’s involvement in the Esports World Cup 2025, where the company supplied more than 2,000 Legion devices for tournament operations, broadcast production and creator zones.
“We are excited to welcome Lenovo as a Global Founding Partner for the Esports World Cup 2026, as we prepare to bring thousands of players and millions of fans to Paris this summer.
Across seven weeks, thousands of matches, broadcast hours, and player setups, the technology behind the competition matters just as much as what happens on stage, and we are grateful to Lenovo for bringing its cutting-edge systems that will make our event possible,” – Mohammed Al Nimer, Esports Foundation Chief Commercial Officer
Besides powering the tournament, Lenovo branding will appear throughout the event, including competition stages, broadcasts and fan zones. The company will also run on-site activities where attendees can try Legion gaming products and stand a chance to win selected hardware.
