Lenovo Malaysia’s latest announcement is dedicated to the mobile space, specifically the tablet market, as they revealed a new 5-device lineup that covers creating, studying, watching, and gaming.
So let’s start from the creators’ side of things, and there are 2 options. The Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 is the flagship, with a 13-inch 4K PureSight Pro display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, Harman Kardon audio, and an optional magnetic clamshell keyboard that turns it from a pen-first sketchpad into a laptop-style setup. If you’d rather travel light, the Yoga Tab Gen 2 packs a Dimensity 9500s into an 11-inch body that weighs just 480g, with a detachable keyboard pack for typing. Both work with the Tab Pen Pro 2.
Students are the target for the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2, the first tablet to feature Lenovo Qira, which arrives later in 2026. It has a 13-inch 3.5K Dolby Vision display (with a matte anti-glare option for long reading sessions) and a quad JBL speaker setup tuned with Dolby Atmos. Its AI study workflow lets you select text with the pen for summaries, transcribe lectures live, and use a dedicated Smart Key on the keyboard pack for quick text generation and translation. It’s just 6.20mm thin and under 600g.
For entertainment, the Tab Plus Gen 2 puts sound first, with a JBL 9-unit Pro speaker system tuned with Dolby Atmos and a Bluetooth speaker mode that lets it double as a standalone speaker. The 12.1-inch 2.5K display supports Dolby Vision and HDR10 and hits up to 800 nits in High Brightness Mode, and a 360-degree rotating kickstand supports lean, theater, stand, and hanging modes. Standby mode even turns it into a digital picture frame, and a carrying sleeve with a shoulder strap comes designed for it.
Gamers get the Legion Tab (8.8″, 5), with an 8.8-inch 3K display at 165Hz, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. The Legion Coldfront Vapor cooling system improves heat dissipation by up to 32% over the previous generation, and Lenovo AI Engine+ boosts key in-game sounds, cancels noise in voice chat, and adjusts touch sensitivity by scene.
