
Kota Kinabalu: Meterology Malaysia has issued a Level 1 heatwave alert for Sabah and three other states.
The department's 6am advisory today in Facebook issued the alert for Kota Marudu in Sabah and several districts in Sarawak, Kelantan and Perak.
A Level 1 alert is issued when temperatures reach between 35 degrees Celsius and 37 degrees Celsius for three consecutive days.
A Level 2 warning is issued when temperatures range between 37 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius for three days in a row.
