Chelsea wing-back Lewis Hall hopes fans can see the potential of the team, despite this season's struggles.

The 18 year-old featured in defeat at Manchester United on Thursday night.

"It's been really good, but also difficult at the same time coming into a side that's struggling a bit," said Hall to chelseafc.com.

"There's no doubt the talent we have in the dressing room. The squad is amazing. It just takes a while for everyone to gel, so it's been difficult in that sense, but for me it's been a good learning experience to come in and train and play with these great players.

"Hopefully I, and we as a team, can push on next season and give the fans what they deserve, and what they missed this year,' he continued.

"I'm really looking forward to next season. We all are. We know how frustrating it's been, not just for us but all the fans, the staff, everyone. We've all been putting so much hard work in. There's no doubt about the work rate and the effort we've put in.

"The talent is clearly there. You can see in glimpses how good we are but it's about putting it all together. Hopefully we can come in and have a good pre-season and hit the ground running."
