If your business has missed or botched e-Invoice submissions, you can now fix them without paying a single sen in penalties. The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) has opened the e-Invoice Special Voluntary Disclosure Programme (PKPS), which runs until 31 December 2027 and lets you correct your e-Invoice records voluntarily.
Three Groups Of Taxpayers Qualify
The programme covers three situations. It applies if you failed to submit e-Invoices for specific transactions, or if the e-Invoices you did submit contained errors or fell short of LHDN’s requirements. It also covers businesses that never submitted e-Invoices at all for any period from their mandatory implementation date onwards.
Whether the problem is a missed invoice or a submission filed with mistakes, you fall within the programme’s scope. LHDN has reminded taxpayers that any corrections you make must be accurate and follow the General and Specific e-Invoice Guidelines.
You Can Also Claim ICT Costs Faster
On top of the penalty waiver, the government is rewarding businesses that comply fully with e-Invoicing by speeding up tax incentives. You can now claim capital allowances in full within a single year for money spent on information and communication technology (ICT) equipment, as well as the cost of developing or modifying software for e-Invoice implementation.
Under normal rules, these claims are spread over several years. Claiming everything in one year means you reduce your taxable income sooner, which frees up cash for your business earlier. If you have been putting off upgrading your invoicing software or buying new hardware because of the cost, the one-year claim reduces how long you carry that expense.
Where To Get Help With Corrections
If you are unsure whether your past submissions comply, LHDN has set up several channels for e-Invoice assistance. You can visit any LHDN office nationwide, call the e-Invoice helpdesk at 03-8682 8000, use the MyInvois Live Chat, or email myinvois@hasil.gov.my.
You can also fill out the customer feedback form on the MyInvois website. The programme ends on 31 December 2027, and going through months or years of invoice records takes time, so an early start gives you room to fix anything you find.
