Gary Cahill says former Chelsea teammate Ruben Loftus-Cheek gave him a positive impression of life at Crystal Palace.
Cahill has joined the Eagles as a free agent after seven-and-a-half years at Chelsea.
Loftus-Cheek spent the 2017/18 season on loan at Palace and Cahill took his advice when deciding on his next move.
"He loved it here and I thought he benefitted Ruben is a special player, he's going to have a fantastic future and I thought he was great in the games he played for Palace. He spoke very highly of not only the team and the fans but the behind the scenes too."
