- He was arrested on suspicion of controlling and coercive behaviour and assault.
- Following an interview, Mr Thomas was released on police bail, with inquiries into the allegations made against him currently ongoing.
- The Liberal Democrats have suspended his party whip and his party membership pending the outcome of the police investigation.
- Mr Thomas, a former RAF officer, was elected as an MP in the 2024 general election.
