SANDAKAN: Barisan Nasional (BN) Libaran will seek the cooperation of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) in the coming GE15.
Sabah Umno Treasurer, who is also Umno Libaran Division Chief, Datuk Suhaimi Nasir, said this was if its candidate were from BN.
“However, through the signing of the agreement, we can ensure that BN will contest in Libaran.
“We will wait until the official announcement later,” he added.
He said this at a press conference immediately after inaugurating the 19th Libaran Division Umno Representative Meeting of 2022 at the Libaran Multipurpose Hall, here, on Sunday.
Also present were its Executive Chairman who is also Sungai Manila Assemblyman Mokran Ingkat and Sungai Sibuga Assemblyman Datuk Mohd Hamsan Awang Supain, observers and other party leaders. The 25 district polling centres (PDM) are also ready.
The number of voters among Umno members is around 22,000 people with more than 70,000 public voters.
For voters among other GRS component party members, the list would be obtained at a later date.
