It is easy to live life blaming your parents, because after all, everything starts at home. However, what isn't easy is finding a means to breakaway from that in order to live your best life.

It can be a trying battle, especially when casting blame comes so natural.

1. Know the reason for you trauma

The start of any healing journey begins with identifying the source.

2. Detach yourself from the source

You have to become a third party in your own life, only then will you be able to decipher the best moves to make.

3. Journal

Write down when you're triggered, why you're triggered, how you feel, think, act, just write.

4. Eliminate what's necessary

Once you've identified your triggers, do whatever it is you can to steer clear of them.

5. Focus on the now

Don't think about yesterday or tomorrow, stay concentrated on the timeline you can control; now.

6. Talk to those who get it

You may not have all the answers within you, but that's okay, look for the answers around you.

7. Be active

Find fun activities which benefit you physically, mentally, emotionally and even spiritually.

8. Read and learn new skills

Grow your knowledge, increase mental capacity, master new things, this way you're wiser for the harder days.

9. Be at peace with reality

Remember that the past is gone, you can win a lot if you try and life can be great just as it is.
