KUALA LUMPUR – The pilots of a small aircraft executed an emergency landing at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, Selangor, earlier this morning, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).

In a statement, CAAM chief executive officer Datuk Norazman Mahmud, said the incident involved a Diamond DA-42 light aircraft, registered as N566CB and operated by Techstrait Ltd.

He said the incident unfolded shortly after the aircraft's departure at 8.26am from the Subang airport when the Subang air traffic control tower received an emergency call.

Responding swiftly, the aircraft made its emergency landing at 8.28am, with both pilots onboard reported safe.

"The runway is temporarily closed for aviation operations until the aircraft is removed from the runway," he said.

In line with protocol, the Air Accident Investigation Bureau under the Transport Ministry will conduct further investigations into the incident, following the regulations outlined in Part XXVI of the Civil Aviation Regulations 2016. – April 26, 2024
