
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted thunderstorms with squalls (60-70 kmph) and light to moderate rainfall at a few places in Haryana for Thursday.
“Western Disturbances are the reason for the change in weather,” said Director, IMD Chandigarh, Surender Paul.
For Friday and Saturday, the weather department has predicted light to moderate rainfall at many places across the state. For May 31, light to moderate rainfall is expected at isolated places.
The weather department said that heatwave conditions are likely to abate over Haryana from May 29.

On Wednesday, the average maximum temperature rose by 0.9 degrees Celsius. However, it was 4.2 degrees Celsius above normal statewide. The highest maximum temperature in the state was 46.6 degrees Celsius, recorded at Rohtak.
Narnaul was the second hottest place in Haryana with 45.5 degrees Celsius, followed by Bhiwani (45 degrees Celsius) and Hisar (45 degrees Celsius).
