
Kota Kinabalu: The Likas Stadium will be upgraded in preparation for the AFC Cup in which Sabah FC will take part, it has been reported.
Sabah FC Chief Executive Officer Ahmad Marzuki Nasir said works to repair and upgrade the stadium will be carried out soon.
The works will be in compliance with the specifications set by the Malaysian Football League (MFL) and the Asian Football Confederation, which is the organiser of the AFC Cup.
Marzuki said the works are expected to be completed before the AFC Cup commencement in September.
The AFC Cup is the second-tier continental club competition after the AFC Champions League.
