  • A judge has allowed rapper Lil Nas X to enter a mental health diversion programme.
  • If he adheres to the two-year treatment plan and obeys all laws during that time, four felony charges against him for attacking Los Angeles police officers will be dismissed.
  • The court determined the incident, where he allegedly charged at officers while naked in August, was a result of his recently diagnosed bipolar disorder.
  • The program, formally a postponement of prosecution probation, also mandates that he not possess firearms or threaten violence.
  • Lil Nas X, who had pleaded not guilty to the charges, expressed his gratitude, saying the outcome "could have been much worse."
