Lily Allen has admitted that she returned an adopted dog after it ate her family’s passports and visas.

Speaking on her Miss Me? podcast on the BBC, the singer, 39, said that she could not look at the animal as it had “ruined her life.”

Allen explained that the incident meant that her children could not see their father, who lives in England, for months and the costs of replacement during the Covid-19 pandemic were a “logistical nightmare.”

“Passports weren’t the only thing she ate, she was a very badly behaved dog and I really tried very hard... it just didn’t work out,” Allen said.
