You got us at chocolate. Swiss chocolatier, Lindt & Sprüngli has finally arrived in Malaysia. With more than 180 years of chocolate-making heritage, Lindt celebrates its enduring indulgent experience with the opening of its first-ever retail store in Southeast Asia at The Exchange TRX, Kuala Lumpur, on 15 October 2026.
Created in partnership with Malaysian retail group Valiram, the new boutique brings the world of Lindt closer to local chocolate enthusiasts, offering more than just a place to pick up a sweet treat. Instead, it invites visitors to explore the craftsmanship, textures and flavours behind the brand’s signature creations, with specially trained chocolate advisors on hand to help navigate the selection.
The highlight is undoubtedly the LINDOR ‘Pick & Mix’ experience, which allows shoppers to curate their own selection from up to 19 varieties, most of which are exclusive to the store. For someone who believes that chocolate preferences say a great deal about one’s personality, this is where things get interesting. Raspberry brings a fruity brightness to the familiar chocolate indulgence, while dark chocolate offers a more pronounced cocoa intensity. Mint chocolate, meanwhile, delivers that refreshing finish that makes it particularly satisfying after a meal.

And then there is Dubai chocolate, my personal favourite. With its now-iconic combination of chocolate, pistachio and crunchy knafeh-inspired filling, it offers a delightful contrast of textures that makes every bite feel like an occasion. It is the sort of treat that reminds us why chocolate continues to inspire new interpretations, even as we return to the classics.
Beyond LINDOR, the store carries Lindt’s EXCELLENCE range, featuring dark chocolate with cocoa content from 70 to 90 per cent, alongside the velvety milk chocolate creations of EXTRA CREAMY. Shoppers can also discover the new WAFERS range, exclusive in-store soft serve, personalised gifting collections and hampers for the festive season.

The opening marks the beginning of a wider Malaysian retail expansion, with two more Kuala Lumpur locations planned at Merdeka 118 and Mid Valley Megamall in November this year.
For now, Lindt’s TRX debut offers a welcome reminder that the simplest pleasures can still be made personal. Whether assembling a box for someone special or indulging in a favourite flavour after a long day, sometimes happiness really does come wrapped in chocolate.
