KOTA KINABALU: A local Lions Club has launched a grassroots fundraising drive to help flood victims in remote villages cut off by landslides and damaged roads.
Continuous rain has triggered slope failures at seven points along Jalan Penampang–Tambunan and in areas like Kg Kopungit, leaving some communities isolated from relief aid.
“We may not be big, but we reach the inner kampung where others cannot,” a Lions Club representative said, urging collective effort to support those stranded.
