Manchester United new boy Wout Weghorst has been training well at the club since his arrival.

The Dutchman arrived this month on loan from Burnley, having terminated his previous loan at Besiktas to join the Red Devils.

His new teammate Lisandro Martinez has sung his praises, after Weghorst scored in a 3-0 Carabao Cup semi final first leg win over Nottingham Forest.

"As a striker, he lives for the goals and I'm happy for him because he's training very well as well," Martinez told MUTV.

"We need that confidence and I'm happy he scored today. Now we have to work for the next game - it's not done yet.

"I think we showed many good things, but still, we have a lot to improve. It's a good result, I think we controlled the game today. In training, we [Lindelof] work with each other and I think we're doing a really good job.

"That's the most important thing when you need a player, we have to be there, we have to be ready and Victor did very well. I think everyone is training hard, you can see now, the last two games were unlucky, we did an amazing job, but we have to keep going."
