US president Donald Trump spoke with Artemis II astronauts after their successful loop around the moon in a record-breaking trip.
During the call, Trump told the crew, “people haven't been there in a long time, but it's gonna be more and more prevalent because we're gonna be doing a lot of traveling.”
“And then you're gonna ultimately do the whole big trip to Mars and that's gonna be very exciting,” he added.
Trump praised the crew’s lunar mission, calling them “ modern day pioneers”.
Four astronauts are currently on a 10-day journey looping around the lunar far side before returning to Earth.
