Liverpool are emerging as a rival to three other Premier League clubs for the signature of Hoffenheim youngster Maximilian Beier.
The starlet is one who Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso is said to greatly admire.
Per Bild, Beier could be heading to Anfield in the summer if Alonso takes the manager's job.
Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Brighton are the other teams showing an interest.
While the Reds are far more prestigious, Beier may have concerns about the game time he would receive.
Moving to one of the other clubs, if they are in the Premier League, would give him a chance to play regularly and shine.
