Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is happy Sven Goran Eriksson will be part of March's Legends match with Ajax.
Former England coach Eriksson has stated he likely has a year to live due to cancer and previously admitted a dream was to manage Liverpool.
Klopp said: "Great news. Absolutely great. I was always convinced it would work out some way. This is now really nice. A legend coaches legends. It's really cool. I have never been here when the legends team played but I know they use everything.
"So everyone who is involved in the organisation tries to make it great as possible. All the guys who show enjoy it.
"Now with Sven here with that experience on the bench they should play a good game. I am really happy Sven will have that opportunity. It's a good place to come."
