Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has taken aim at France coach Didier Deschamps.
Klopp chose to rest Ibrahima Konate for their Europa League win against Toulouse, blaming Deschamps for his decision.
The German said, "He didn't start. He's not even in the squad. I absolutely love everything about Ibou, but the problem is that Ibou has injury problems from time to time, and Mr. Deschamps played him 90 and 87 minutes in the two internationals so we have used this time now to give him some rest.
"He could have played, of course, but he has to play on Sunday again.
"I said to Ibou: 'Tell Mr. Deschamps that this is how you rest a player. Not just three minutes'. But we are more than satisfied with Ibou. (He is a) great guy and a super player and France can be really happy to have him."
