Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits he wanted to bring Ajax captain Dusan Tadic to Anfield.
Tadic, 33, left Southampton for Ajax in the summer of 2018.
The attacker has been a great success with the Dutch giants. Tadic has scored 94 goals and 98 assists in 209 competitive games so far.
Tonight, Tadic and Ajax face Liverpool in the Champions League and Klopp says that he also wanted the 33-year-old.
"I was very angry with myself when he went to Ajax, because I was also interested in him," says the German to RTL.
"I love him as a player."
