Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says a top four finish is their first target this season.
Klopp was asked about their title chances ahead of today's trip to Chelsea.
"We have to qualify for the Champions League, that's it," said the Reds boss, in an interview with Sky Sports. "The earlier you can do that, the more likely you can go for more.
"I cannot say that at the moment but that must be our target, there is no doubt about that. It's not only reputation-wise but also a financial need, to be honest.
"Yeah, that would be fantastic. And, how I said earlier, if we do that we can talk about other stuff if we do it."
