Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is pushing to sign RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol.
Liverpool are in the running" to sign Gvardiol this summer, reports Football Insider.
It has also been reported that Klopp is pushing" the club to invest in signing Gvardiol at the end of the season.
The report goes further to say that Gvardiol is viewed as an ideal defensive partner for Virgil van Dijk. However, it has not been reported how much Liverpool would need to pay to sign the centre-back this summer.
Liverpool currently have Van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Nat Phillips as their centre-back options. As well as midfielder, rumours seem to be gathering pace linking the club with a new defender this summer.
