The Germany international is up for sale at Chelsea this summer after two underwhelming seasons.
Football Insider says Liverpool are to return for Werner, who came close to joining the Reds when with RB Leipzig.
An 'insider' has informed them of the Reds' renewed interest in the 26-year-old Chelsea forward, as Klopp considers his forward line options, but as of yet, no approaches have been made to the West London club.
Werner joined the Blues in 2020 and has scored 23 goals in 56 appearances over two seasons.
