Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits Andrew Robertson is still some weeks from a playing return.
Robertson is in the final stretch of recovery from shoulder surgery.
Klopp said: "Andrew Robertson needs more time for his shoulder. He is still not close to being able to train. There is still a long way to go.
"He will surely get closer during January."
It looks different for Alexis Mac Allister, who might be able to play on January 1 against Newcastle.
"We have to look at 'Macca' today. I haven't spoken to the medical staff yet, so we'll have to see," added Klopp.
