Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists Rodri avoiding an early red card made no difference in defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.

City thumped Liverpool 4-1 in the early kickoff.

At 0-0, Rodri avoided a second yellow card within minutes, despite furious Liverpool protests.

Klopp said afterwards: "I didn't see it well enough. Could he have received another yellow card? Yes, he probably could. He won't get it now.

"I'm not sure we would have won against ten men today."
