Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits they weren't at their best for Thursday night's 2-0 Europa League win against Union Saint Gilloise.

Ryan Gravenberch scored his first goal for the club, with Diogo Jota also getting on the scoresheet in injury-time.

Klopp later said: "Good. Really good start. Lost the rhythm slightly. Gave too many set-pieces away. Really good beginning, lost rhythm and played too much around the formation and in the formation. Should have had more direction and you take and what you get in these moment,. Professional but we could have been better.

"Job done. That is important as well. You cannot only win if you are really exciting. It is good for us as we can learn a lot from this game. With rhythm we look one way and without we look another. With exactly the same players. Plenty of things to learn and we will use that."

On Gravenberch, he added: "He is a top bloke and I am really happy for him. In his time in Bayern was not the end of the world but he played 35 games which is quite reasonable for a young players. But now he can get rhythm and you see that when he is on the ball.

"When we can bring him in the right places he is really incredible. Everybody is really pleased for him. It was maybe not the most difficult goal he's scored in his career but a goal is a goal.

"They all count the same."
