Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is hopeful Luis Diaz will be available when they take on Manchester City next month.

The Colombian winger is not expected to play in the coming week or two, as he is still working his way towards full training.

Speculation had emerged in England that he may be available to take on Real Madrid in the Champions League next week, but that has been refuted by Klopp.

Asked about his fitness, and that of Thiago Alcantara and Joe Gomez, Klopp told reporters: "All three are not available. Different stages, I would say.

"Joey might be able to train at the beginning of the week. Luis I hope during next week. After the international break then obviously for both is possible.

"Thiago we will see. None of them have trained yet with the team, and then we will see how that develops in the next couple of weeks and we will know more. Apart from that, from the last game, nothing that I have heard about."
