Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says Darwin Nunez is closer to a playing return.
The Uruguayan striker was unavailable as Liverpool suffered a humbling 3-0 defeat at the hands of Brighton on Saturday.
Liverpool have been struggling with injuries in forward positions recently, with Roberto Firmino, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota also out of action. However, Klopp has revealed Nunez is 'very close' to returning but doubts whether he'll be back in time for Tuesday's FA Cup replay with Wolves.
Klopp said, "There has been progress with all [players out.
"Darwin is very close, but it's Monday and tomorrow is the game. But he's very close.
"Milly [James Milner] and Stefan [Bajcetic] trained fully. Milly was on the bench [at Brighton] but wasn't match-right. Stefan as well. They're now available again. That's it."
