Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino can't see Jurgen Klopp walking away from Liverpool.

Cascarino has backed Klopp to remain as Liverpool manager, and believes he is the right man to rebuild the club, having led it to success at home and aboard. But the ex-Republic of Ireland international believes the German needs some support from the club's owners, FSG.

He's culpable for a lot of things, without a doubt, but he's one of the greatest managers in world football," Cascarino told talkSPORT. I don't want to lose him to another club when I believe he needs the opportunity to change things at Anfield.

I think he's been way too loyal to too many players, I think there should have been change. One of Fergie's (Sir Alex Ferguson) great things, and other clubs have done with other managers, when you're in a position of power you go hard. He (Klopp) didn't go hard and Liverpool didn't go hard in the summer to push for certain players to come."

Cascarino added: I do not want Klopp getting the sack, I want him the chance to rebuild the football club.

But he's got to use his position of strength against the club to make them understand that this is where we are now and we should have done more last summer."
