Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists Monday night's clash at Manchester United won't be influenced by last season's results.

Klopp does not feel beating United 9-0 over two games last season will have any bearing on Monday night's meeting at Old Trafford.

"I couldn't be less interested in results from last year, they are different games and different situations," said Klopp.

"This is completely different and that's it."

On Darwin Nunez's red card against Crystal Palace, Klopp also said this morning: "Bobby [Firmino] has trained as normal and is ready.

"Of course we spoke to Darwin and he was very disappointed with himself. The things that the centre-half [Joachim Andersen] did, he's not the only player in the world doing these kinds of things.

"We've never had a situation like this before while I've been here as far as I know, so I'm not an expert in these talks.

"But it was obvious that he knew. He apologised. We all make mistakes."
