Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was delighted after victory over Nottingham Forest.

The Reds won 3-2 after Forest had fought back from 2-0 down at Anfield on Saturday.

Henderson said, "Three points is the most important thing. We made it more difficult for ourselves. We could defend the long throw-ins a bit better and conceding two from that is something we can work on for sure.

"But overall I'm delighted with the reaction to the setbacks and to still get the winner.

"We knew the type of game it would be and we had to be patient with the ball, wait for the right chances. We had a couple of chances with Jota at the back post and we couldn't find the net. We had to keep going and be patient and then to take the other opportunities."

On Diogo Jota's two goals, he said: "He was out from injury for a while and has come back and found his rhythm again and he's in the right position. When he is in the positions he is clinical, which he's done over the last few games.

"The good thing is we kept going, not one, but twice and we kept going and to find the winner is definitely a positive. But of course we shouldn't be in that position in the first place with the experience on the pitch. But as always there is room for improvement and still good things from today."
