Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has sung the praises of teammate Cody Gakpo.
Van Dijk says Gakpo has become an "important" member of the team.
"We have had four games this season, so I don't think you can speak much about form," he said.
"He is so important for both teams (Liverpool and Holland). He didn't play last game for Liverpool as Darwin Nunez started after his fantastic game against Newcastle. The work [Gakpo] delivers in each game is incredible both in offense and defence.
"He plays in a very difficult position as well. He can play as [a] striker or as a number eight at the start of the season and he still managed to do a good job in my opinion. The season will be very long and we will need him. He will be very important and will stay important for us."
