Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has hailed Jordan Henderson as a huge influence on the team in the past few years.
Henderson was club captain before his departure to Saudi Pro League club Al-Ettifaq this week.
The England international is linking up with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who is the manager there.
Van Dijk was among the Liverpool players who paid tribute to Henderson on social media, declaring him, "captain, leader, legend".
The midfielder had posted a video saying goodbye to the fans and his teammates.
Cody Gakpo stated: "Thankyou Captain".
Youngster Stefan Bajcetic added: "Thank you for everything Captain".
England colleague Reece James also chimed in saying: "Good luck mate. Legend forever".
