Liverpool great Steven Gerrard has returned to negotiations with Al-Ettifaq.
The former Aston Villa boss had pulled out of talks with Al-Ettifaq a fortnight ago after visiting Saudi Arabia. It was suggested a disagreement over the makeup of his backroom team had seen the deal fall through.
However, Sky Sports says negotiations have again resumed.
And Gerrard is now leaning towards accepting Al-Ettifaq's offer as momentum continues for the Saudi Pro League.
Gerrard has been a free agent since his sacking by Villa in October.
